My daughter and her roomies have discovered a hummingbird nest in the backyard of their Castro rental. Mother bird has been busy tending to her two would-be off-springs.

Notice how each egg is a different color. And a great color together too! How did she do it? She won’t say. She just continues to hum.

ps: never ever touch the egg or the baby hummingbird my friend, they are too fragile…
human hand is too dirty and can germinated the egg and made it ruined bad..

Yes. I was told that once we handle the eggs, the mother bird might not recognize the eggs as hers and abandon them. So, we just admire from a distance. 🙂
