Nothing gets me in a lighter mood when I start my day than seeing all the flowers in bloom in our front yard. Spring has indeed sprung!
I’ve been watching the rows of daffodils we planted in late fall last year, all start to bud then slowly spread their graceful yellow skirts along our driveway. What a great send-off for the morning! What a welcoming sight early in the evening!
I looked over our front porch and even the orchids have started to bloom. Some of them have raised their clusters as if to hail every passerby. Over to the walkway leading to the back of the house, tiny delicate pink flowers have peeked out from the gentle green beds. I can’t help but smile. I’m filled with such pleasure!
Soon, the other flowers will come too: The hydrangeas, the geraniums, the roses, buddleias that attract the hummingbirds, even the daisies. lilacs and the fuchsias. Then of course, there is the wisteria just to the side of the house. Last year, it showered these light lavender flowers down the pergola. I promise to take more pictures when they all come!
